When a standard door just doesn’t cut it, the 20-foot open side container gives you full side access to everything inside. Perfect for oversized cargo, lumber, piping, machinery, or anything that’s awkward to load through a standard end door. With flexible door opening positions of 5′, 10′, 15′, or the full 20′ side, you can customize access to fit exactly how you work. Weathertight when closed, wide open when you need it. Full Side Access Open side containers open from the center of the long side of the container, with two door openings that work similar to standard storage containers. You can open the side in sections: 5 ft, 10 ft, 15 ft, or the full 20 ft depending on what you need to load.
180 or 270 Degree Swing Doors The full side access door opens to either 180 or 270 degrees, so you can swing it as wide as your loading situation requires.
Heavy-Duty Steel Construction Built with the same reinforced corrugated steel exterior and marine-grade plywood floor as our standard containers, freshly painted and ready for years of demanding use.
Secure Locking System At least two Eagle Locks are required to secure the container: one over the center two locking bars on the 8 ft door opening and one for each end door, giving you layered security across all access points.

Structurally, yes — shipping containers are built to stack nine high when fully loaded. On a rental unit, stacking requires written approval from Eagle Leasing and proper stacking equipment, since moving and securing containers vertically is a specialized operation. If stacking is part of your plan, talk to your sales rep.
We don’t transport loaded containers. Any container moved by our trucks has to be empty. If you need to relocate a loaded container, you’ll need to empty it before we pick it up — or arrange separate specialty transport.
Yes. Every storage container ships with factory vents for basic airflow. If humidity’s a concern, we can add louvered vents (usually two to four, placed on opposite sides for cross-breeze) or turbine (whirlybird) vents cut into the roof to actively pull heat and moisture out.
Every container has a place for you to attach your own padlock. You can use any commercial padlock, but we strongly recommend our 13-pound heavy-duty Eagle Locks for serious protection. Standard padlocks are easy targets. A proper container lock makes a real difference in whether your contents stay where you put them.
Yes. Our 20 foot high cubes are a foot taller than standard 20 footers — about 150 extra cubic feet of interior space. Especially handy when you’re storing tall equipment, machinery, or stacked pallets that bump up against the ceiling of a standard unit.
Yes. Our 40 foot open side containers give you full-length access along one side — ideal for long materials like lumber, pipe, trusses, scaffolding, and racking that won’t fit through an end door.
