Not required, but roll-up doors are faster to open and close at a dock and don’t need swing clearance behind the trailer. Swing doors (barn doors) are standard on road trailers and work fine at a dock. Roll-up doors are a common preference for high-volume dock operations.
Many of our road trailers come equipped with either logistic posts (vertical uprights with load bar sockets) or e-track (horizontal rails for strap anchors). Availability varies by unit. If your load needs specific cargo control hardware, tell your sales rep and we’ll match you to the right trailer.
Storage containers and office containers are available across every branch. Storage trailers, road trailers, office trailers, flatbeds, and specialty units (open side, high cubes, modified units) are stocked at select branches based on regional demand. When you request a quote, we’ll confirm what’s available at the branch closest to your site — and coordinate transfers from another branch when we need to.
DOT annual inspections are required for all road trailers. Our rental trailers are inspected on schedule and documented before they go out. If your lease runs past the annual inspection date, we coordinate the re-inspection with you.
The two most common are 11R 22.5 and 295/75R22.5, both standard for over-the-road trailer service. Low-profile 11R 24.5 is also used on some configurations. Tire size should always match what’s specified for the trailer. Don’t substitute.
Our largest standard trailers are 53 foot storage trailers and 53 foot road trailers. For flatbeds, we offer step decks, standard flatbeds, and drop decks up to 53 feet. Trailer inventory is stocked at select branches based on regional demand, so availability depends on your location. If you need specialty dimensions or extended lengths, talk to your sales rep about what’s available at the branch nearest your site.
Standard dry van trailers have an interior height of about 108 to 110 inches (9 feet). High cube trailers add another few inches. Exact interior height varies by manufacturer and model — your sales rep can confirm specs for the unit you’re quoting.
